Timeline term: clip
A clip is a piece of generated video, usually the output of one run. Clip is the least specific of the unit words and is often used where a tool does not distinguish shots from scenes. From 8 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Four editors call their unit a clip. Several more use clip for the video made from a shot or a take.
In an editing timeline, a clip is also the block placed on the track; the entry covers both senses.

2From an episode pipeline
The episode pipeline SceneMixer documents has its own answer to “Clip”; two lines from its pages:
Its character becomes the tone of the episode’s own score, which is planned from the episode’s storyboard — usually one to three pieces — and mixed under the voices.

The lines are re-heard and written in the language your project is set to, and the finished episode is spoken by the voices attached to your own characters.
