1Four points about a redo

A finished episode is a chain of units, and the useful question is what happens when one link is wrong. An editor earns a point for each of four things its vendor pages say: that one unit can be redone alone, that the redone unit can be swapped into the finished episode, that versions of the redo are kept and how the redo is charged.

2What a charge point means

The charge point is earned by saying how a redo is billed, whatever the answer. A vendor that says a redo costs the same again earns it exactly as one that says a failed run is refunded; the register's charge page holds the actual wording for each.

5The limits of a four-point count

Five editors on four points leave little to choose between them in this table; the pages quoted underneath show how each describes the swap and the history, which is where they differ. A vendor that says a unit can be redone has made a statement of intent, and the count cannot tell a smooth swap from a clumsy one.
